Does The PISA Report Prove U.S. Education Is Failing?

Education policy pundits across the country would have you believe that U.S. schools are failing. They say that are students are not being challenged, that our teachers are lazy and overly protected by unions. They say that the solution to this is privatization, union-busting, mass firings and holding schools accountable through high-stakes testing.

But is this true?
