We just had another amazing #oklaed Twitter chat tonight. I managed to arrive 15 minutes late, so I didn’t get in on the first question or two, but the rest of the questions focused on our goals for ourselves and our students this year. The process of sharing ideas with other teachers and administrators from around our state (and even some from other states!) helped crystallize my goals for this year.
For students:
A5 I want my students to be more confident writers, readers and thinkers. #OklaEd

Students need to know that learning is a journey, and teachers are guides. They must ultimately take the trip. #OklaEd

As for me, I plan to be more reflective and responsive. I plan to slow down and get to know my students better. I plan to work with my colleagues to help us all grow as professionals, to better teach our students and to better advocate for our students.
A4 I plan to help other teachers/admins become more vocal as we advocate for students. #oklaedmediaguide #OklaEd
