OWP Hosts Student Writing Contest; Deadline Jan. 20

EduNews: Writing Contests

The Oklahoma Writing Project is hosting the annual Write-to-Win contest for students in grades 2-12 and teachers to encourage and celebrate writing.

Students and teachers in all schools, public and private, can participate free of charge. Teachers should submit student work by the deadline of January 20, 2015.

Michelle taught secondary ELA in public schools for 10 years. She served as an award-winning journalist before transitioning into education and is now Assistant Director of the OU Writing Center and a teacher consultant for the Oklahoma Writing Project. Michelle co-edited the Oklahoma English Journal for five years. She is a PhD candidate in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum at the University of Oklahoma.
