Which Words Do I Capitalize In My Headline?

Education Technology

Need a quick and easy way to properly capitalize your website headlines or article titles? Check out the handy tool at TitleCapitalization.com which I found today while trying to make this very decision. Not only does the online tool correctly capitalize your headline, it also gives you three options:

  1. AP Style: Capitalize words with four or more letters
  2. Capitalize words with five or more letters
  3. Chicago Manual of Style: Do not capitalize words based on length

You can view the specific rules related to each option as well.

  1. Oh this is a really handy tip! I see students often struggle, and even many adults, with knowing when to capitalize headlines. It can be tricky because of the three different styles. My preference is for the AP style personally. Thanks for sharing that website!
