New Resource Added to Essays for High School Students

New Essay Resources

I have added the following resource to Essays Every High School Student Should Read.

My own article, Facebook hack ‘worse than when my house burned down’ says teacher, was published yesterday in the Oklahoma City Free Press. When I couldn't find a way to reach out to Facebook, I decided to use my story, voice, and platform to shed light on a situation faced by people around the world.

My friend and colleague, a former English and alternative education teacher in Oklahoma City Public Schools, who is now the editor of the Oklahoma City Free Press, read my pitch in a Twitter DM and agreed to publish my first person narrative.

Personal Narrative Essay

This article can serve as a mentor text for students writing personal narratives on shared experiences in the context of current events.

And, if you want to help a teacher entrepreneur, please share this story. If you have a Facebook account, you can share this post. If not, here is a direct link to the news article.
