About the teacher

Michelle Boyd Waters, M.Ed.

Michelle Boyd Waters, M.Ed. taught secondary ELA in public schools for 10 years. She served as an award-winning journalist before transitioning into education and is now serving as a co-editor of the Oklahoma English Journal. She is a graduate assistant for the OU Writing Project and the Oklahoma Writing Project, where is also a teacher consultant. Michelle is a doctoral student in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum at the University of Oklahoma. She started reThink ELA LLC as a teacher blog in 2012.
